Dr. Miller's Message
Hello Bulldog Families! Well, May will be a busy month with
all of our grade levels doing music programs, our family picnic, field day,
Topping Town, the Talent Share, and the final day with Yearbook signing.
It has been a great year with notable growth in the areas of Reading,
Writing and Mathematics.
We are so excited to send our students home for the summer as
readers. We will once again have the Dr. Miller Bookmobile this summer
for 6 weeks starting on June 30th. This is a great way for kids to get a
free new book each week and as many other books that you would like to get for
only $1 each. I am also very excited about our daily story time this
summer. If you have not turned in your sheet and would like to get this
daily call, please call the office.
Please talk with your child about the things they are learning
during these last weeks. There are a lot of economics lessons as your
children are working on their Topping Town businesses, as well as, new units
taking students just a little further in all academic areas.
Kids are doing a lot of end of year testing as we take district
assessments that show us in comparison to the other 20 elementary schools in
the NKC School District. We want our students to do their very best and
show what they know. Our students worked very hard to do their very best
on the MAP test this year. We will get those results in late July or
early August and will celebrate with kids the 1st day of school.
